The Ancestral Plane is a neutral dimension that is neither prosperous nor horrendous to inhabit within. According to Gwen, the spirits that reside in the ancestral plane linger differently than the spirits on The Other Side. While it remains unknown if the ancestral plane is exclusive to The French Quarter witches; whenever someone is consecrated into the earth, they will become apart of the sophisticated transgressions which replenishes its power. According to Adara, the ancestral plane appears to be dark and empty as it is in fact populated by countless souls. She explained how she initially thought she was alone within the ancestral plane until she experienced The Ancestors benedictions and liberations among her presence.

- According to Gwen, the only way for spirit to enter the ancestral plane is if their corporeal body is consecrated into the earth. It remains unknown if this rule only applies to witches or if other creatures such as humans, vampires or werewolves can also enter the ancestral plane by the consecration of their body.
- Contrary to The Other Side, the ancestral plane is not a worldwide dimension. Instead, the ancestral plane was created on holy grounds whenever someone has been consecrated to that location. In order for the ancestral plane to exist, a ceremonial ritual known as The Harvest must take place every three-hundred years or else the ancestral plane will begin to dissipate or fade out of existence.
